There is a place in southwestern Wisconsin that the glaciers forgot.

While the great ice sheets of the last Ice Age scoured and flattened much of the Upper Midwest into submission, they bypassed an extraordinary swath of land straddling the borders of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois — leaving behind a landscape of dramatic, cathedral-like coulees, steep wooded ridges, spring-fed streams, and valleys so improbably beautiful they seem almost invented. This is Wisconsin's Driftless Region — named for the conspicuous absence of glacial drift, the rocky debris that glaciers typically deposit in their wake. What remains instead is ancient, rugged, and breathtaking: a topography carved by water and time alone, unchanged in its essential character for longer than human memory reaches.

It is here, where the ridgelines catch fire at dusk and the coulees fill with shadow and gold, that Coulee Country Sunset was born.

The fragrance opens with the bright, sun-warmed vivacity of Sicilian mandarin — all sharp citrus sweetness and Mediterranean energy, incongruously perfect against a Wisconsin sky — lifted further by the clean herbal authority of rosemary. The heart deepens and grows complex: saffron lends its singular, almost otherworldly warmth, orris root contributes a powdery, ancient elegance, and coconut wraps it all in an unexpected softness — the last warmth of the day before the temperature drops and the stars emerge over the ridgeline. Tonka bean and agarwood anchor the base in rich, resinous depth, while musk closes the composition with the quiet permanence of a landscape that has outlasted everything that has ever tried to leave a mark on it.

Brewed with a Wisconsin craft microbrew from Potosi, Wisconsin — a village nestled in the heart of the Driftless Region itself, home to one of the state's most celebrated brewing traditions — because regional authenticity, in this workshop, is not merely an aesthetic choice. It is a standard.

And why beer in a bar of soap? The question is fair, and the answer is rather satisfying. Beer's natural sugars produce an exceptionally rich, creamy lather that plain water simply cannot replicate. Its B vitamins and antioxidants lend a subtle nourishing quality to the skin, while the yeast contributes to a smoother, more conditioning wash experience. The result is a bar that performs as distinctively as it smells — which, in the tradition of Wisconsin Waterfalls Soap & Etc., is the only acceptable outcome.
